The Friends of Fort Hardy Park (501c3) executive leadership team is comprised of a volunteer Board of Directors and key partners. 

Board meetings are open to the public and are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at The Dovegate Inn, 184 Broad Street, Schuylerville. Choose your option of a three course meal $26/person (includes gratuity)

Meet Our Leadership Team

  • Megin Potter

    PRESIDENT

    Megin is excited to create additional recreational and business opportunities for the community. A Friends of Fort Hardy volunteer since June 2023, she has also helped Schuylerville increase accessibility and become a Certified Bike Friendly community through her participation in the Trail Town Committee.

    A a local feature writer since 2009, Megin has also pursued studio arts, and worked as a production crafter for 10 years. For two years during the pandemic, she homeschooled her son, and in 2020, founded an afterschool STEAM club for 5th graders. She was a Cub Scout den leader, the 2015 founder of the Lego Club at the Greenwich Free Library, and a 2012 member of the Argyle Youth Committee.

    Megin enjoys visiting local events and establishments. Her favorite activities are yoga, dance, frisbee, and miniature golf.

  • Lori Schultz

    Lori Schultz is a Saratoga County native and proud current resident with her husband, Bruce and their two boys. In 2020 while working as a Library Clerk and Program Coordinator at the local Schuylerville Public Library, Lori was introduced to and appointed Treasurer and then President of the library friends group, a non profit known as The Advocates for the Schuylerville Public Library (ASPL). Fulfilling her position in that office in early 2024, she continues to be a committed library advocate believing that our libraries and the knowledge gained from the people and books inside them are invaluable treasures to be advocated for passionately.

    Lori is currently a member of Schuylerville Community Conversations, serves as a founding member for Sustainable Communities, a Washington County based non profit, is an active member of Climate Smart Schuylerville and has even been known to facilitate a story time or two.

    As a local small business owner, Lori looks forward to being involved in the growth and revitalization of Schuylerville. She is excited to help with the efforts to unite the surrounding communities, while also improving and protecting the historical and cultural wellbeing of Fort Hardy Park.

  • Gwen Dragon

    Growing up in Saratoga, Gwen moved to her home nestled on Fish Creek 10+ years ago, which has given her a deep-rooted connection to the local community and environment. With over 17 years of experience in design and visual communications—Gwen brings her creative expertise to the Friends of Fort Hardy Park. When she’s not walking her dog through the park, she’s designing innovative solutions to help preserve and enhance this local treasure. 

    In 2023, Gwen crafted a fresh logo and website for the Friends of Fort Hardy Park, bringing the organization and brand to life.

    Beyond her role with the park, Gwen is dedicated to supporting her local community. She has volunteered her design services to other local nonprofits like Advocates for the Schuylerville Public Library, Saratoga WarHorse, Code Blue Saratoga, Double H Ranch, and more. Gwen has also helped Schuylerville businesses such as Revolution Cafe, Saratoga Gluten Free Goods, Loretta’s Tomes & Tealeaves, and Savor Life Mindfully stand out with unique branding. 

    Gwen’s dedication to both her craft and her community shines through in everything she creates.
